New Grenfell Sewage Treatment Plant Stage 1 Investigation Consultant's Brief Grenfell Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is a trickling filter plant, constructed in 1940.
Some components of the plant are in poor condition, and the plant does not meet contemporary environmental standards.
Weddin Shire Council is committed to upgrading Grenfell STP to achieve the following objectives:
Meet contemporary environmental standards.
Maximise the use of recycled water for urban irrigation.
Comply with regulatory requirements.
Construct a modern, safe and efficient treatment plant.
The upgrade will consist of constructing a new STP on, or adjacent to, the existing STP site.
The main source of funding for this project is a grant from the NSW Government under the Restart NSW program.
Weddin Shire Council invites qualified and experienced consultants to develop options for the new Grenfell STP.
The scope of work includes:
* Investigate and develop design criteria.
* Develop options for the new STP.
* Develop evaluation criteria and evaluate the options.
* Prepare investigation-level cost estimates.
* Prepare Options Report detailing the investigation and findings.
* Recommend option for Grenfell STP.
* Prepare a brief for the next stage (concept design and environmental assessment). This task may be deleted from the scope.
