ITS-RFT for the Provision of a Preferred Pharmaceutical Wholesaler and Associated Services

⁠⁠⁠In issuing this Tender Western Health seeks to identify a party who is:
* Able to provide the services required by Western Health in the manner set out in Part 4 of WH003-2017_ITS_RFT PharWholesaleDistServ_Tender (Final 1212_2016).pdf;
* Able to demonstrate a commitment and ability to working in collaboration with Western Health over the terms of any agreed contractual period to continuously seek improvements in value, efficiency and productivity in connection with the provision of the services; and
* Prepared to collaborate with Western Health to continue to identify opportunities for improvement in the quality and level of service provided to Western Health, for the mutual benefit of both Western Health and the successful party.

By appointing a preferred pharmaceutical wholesaler (the Supplier), the Health Service is seeking to achieve the following objectives:
* A single preferred supplier of pharmaceutical products to the Health Service;
* The right pharmaceutical product available for the right patient at the right time;
* Cost effective delivery of pharmaceutical products to agreed standards and service levels, which meets the needs of the Health Service;
* Services that are continuously improved to meet changing requirements and to take advantage of developments in technology that can further enhance the cost effectiveness of the service provided;
* Effective administration, delivery and pricing; and
* Provision of accurate and timely reports of usage and costs on all products supplied.

The Health Service currently has direct arrangements with some manufacturers for the supply of products. Where possible, the Health Service would like to minimise these arrangements and maximise supply via the Supplier.
