The Australian Marine Complex (AMC) is a world-class, centre of excellence for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, maintenance and technology development, servicing the marine, defence and resource industries.

Located in Western Australia, 23 kilometres south of Perth, the AMC has been developed to enhance opportunities created by the clustering of industries and is home to the largest marine industry in Australia.

The AMC has established international credentials for the repair, maintenance and construction of naval and commercial vessels, as well as infrastructure for the fabrication and assembly of offshore oil and gas modules.

More than 150 business are located within the AMC which is made up of four main precincts noted below:
a) Maritime;
b) Technology;
c) Support Industry; and
d) Fabrication.

LandCorp is the owner of the Common Use Facility (CUF) which is situated within the AMC. The Department of Commerce is the lead agency responsible for industry development and the provision of policy direction and oversight of the AMC to achieve Government objectives.

In 2003 LandCorp entered into a Facilities Management Agreement (FMA) with a private company to promote and manage the AMC CUF. In 2008 the FMA was amended to incorporate an Operating Agreement to provide for the management of a floating dock and transfer system which is used to lift marine vessels from the water to the hardstand.

These agreements are due to expire in June 2018 and LandCorp is therefore inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to provide the required services for the AMC CUF which can be broadly categorised as:
a) Business Development;
b) Facilities Management; and
c) Operator Services.

It is anticipated that a short-list will be determined from this EOI process and those Respondents will be invited to submit a detailed proposal for the provision of the Services.
