Preservation Artwork Maintenance Services Baywalk Bollards

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing at 2.00pm on Wednesday 21 December 2016 from contractors or organisations to provide preservation artwork maintenance services to bollards at various locations.

Overview

This maintenance contract is to undertake all conservation and preservation responsibilities to the art works which will include restoration, maintenance and repair. The Contractor appointed to deliver this service must demonstrate understanding, appreciation and respect of the artwork. No artistic Licence is permitted whilst undertaking the requirements of this contract. All work undertaken on the bollards must faithfully reproduce the style, design and narrative of the original artist.

Mandatory Criteria
1. Tenderers must have demonstrated significant past experience in the restoration and maintenance of painted artworks in the public realm.

The term of the Contract for the provision of this service shall be for a period of three (3) years with a further two (2), one (1) year options available at the discretion of Council. The service shall commence on a date to be confirmed. The Contract shall operate on a fixed lump sum basis and schedule of rates.

The tender evaluation panel will consider the details of the tenderer's OH&S system provided in or in response to Schedule 7 of the documents attached.

Tenders which do not contain details of OH&S systems which meet the minimum required standards will not be considered for the contract.
