Tender Description
Suitably qualified consultants are invited to tender for At-House Noise Treatment Scoping Consultant on the Woolgoolga to Ballina Project for services between Glenugie and Ballina, Sections 3-11.
The scope of works includes, but is not limited to the following:
* Being suitably qualified and have building industry experience
* Preparing the scope for the acoustic treatment, including but not limited to the mechanical ventilation, and architectural acoustic design for each property;
* Preparing pre-treatment building inspection reports and Hazardous substance registers including Asbestos Survey;
* Assessing dwellings in relation to Bushfire, aboriginal and heritage status and requirements, ensure that this is addressed at an early stage to ensure suitable treatments are considered;
* Review existing utility power capacities to identify at an early stage if this could be an issue and consider findings when determining options and preferred solution;
* Preparing the detailed design documents for the acoustic treatment, including but not limited to the mechanical ventilation, and architectural acoustic treatment for each property;
* Prepare tender documents, tender appraisals / recommendations and manage the individual building works to each property requiring treatment working in conjunction with the RMS Representative.
* Planning the delivery of the acoustic treatment works and preparing the tender packages for the installation of acoustic treatments by others.
* Surveillance and management of the installation of the acoustic treatments by others;
* Preparing completion reports and obtaining owner sign-off for the acoustic treatment;
* Manage communication and complaints resolution in a proactive manner.
This tender provides an opportunity for local industry participation.
The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project.
It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme at the time of entering into the contract for the contract work and while the contract work is being carried out. Information on the Scheme is available on the Australian Government website at www.fsc.gov.au.
Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful application being awarded. This is a joint Australian and NSW government funded project.
