WTP Multiple Barriers - Oxley, Moyhu, Walwa, Wangaratta

⁠⁠⁠North East Water is intending to install UV systems at their Oxley, Moyhu, Walwa and Wangaratta Water Treatment Plants. It also intends to upgrade the backwash water system at Moyhu, Oxley and Walwa with the backwash water sent to sewer at Oxley and Moyhu and returned back to the raw water storage at Walwa. The rising main to sewer will be constructed by others.

At Moyhu the addition of a raw water tank and an extension of the existing building is included in the scope of works and the existing inline pressure filters will be replaced by larger pressure filters and will be free issued by North East Water.

At Walwa the existing upright clarifier will also be replaced by pressure filters also free issued by North East Water.

An electrical upgrade is required at the Oxley and Moyhu Water Treatment Plant.

The contract will be in separable portions for each of the four sites.

Some of these works may need to be completed during low demand period May-September 2017 while maintaining water service delivery within the drinking water quality guidelines to each town.
