Tender Description
The ABC is seeking to leverage its substantial spend on air services to ensure that value is secured on behalf of the corporation.
The ABC has developed a robust strategic process to ensure that there is competition for the supply of services for domestic, Trans-Tasman and international air travel. A competitive bid process is considered the best and fairest way to engage with viable suppliers to meet the needs of the corporation and ensure that savings are delivered.
To enable the ABC to evaluate each supplier on an equal term basis, each respondent may bid either
* Domestic only;
* International (including trans-Tasman) only; or,
* Both domestic and international (including trans- Tasman).
However, all sections must be completed on an individual service basis. This process enables the Corporation to undertake a fair and balanced evaluation in particular of those international airlines who may not be able to submit a domestic air offer.
The RFT process and contractual arrangement has been structured to encourage suppliers who may wish to bid on a combined service basis or individual service only.
This RFT only covers the ABC’s requirements with regards travel within Australia and travel to and from Australia. Overseas bureau to bureau travel is excluded.
