SB FO003-04-03 Rev: 5 Issued: JUN 16 Next revision: JUN 19 Date Printed: 07/10/2016 2:04 PM Page 5 of 52
The sites are located along very high trafficable streets and the works involve closure of lanes whilst undertaking construction works.
Road Occupancy Licence is required from the Road and Maritime Service RMS (former RTA). Due to the large volume of traffic during peak hours, RMS is likely to restrict the hours of road closure during the day and allow for night shifts. Night works, if required, to be kept to a minimum due to the presence of residential properties within the worksite area.
Contractors while submitting their tender must make emphasis on their construction program and work methodology and clearly identify the methodology to perform the work during restricted hours so that there is less impact on the traffic flow as well as noise level kept to a minimum.
Full road closure is not permitted unless otherwise directed by the Superintendent and permitted by RMS.
All works must be completed on or before 31 March 2017. Tenderers are required to achieve this completion date and provide a program and list of resources to demonstrate their capacity to achieve this.
