Northern Beaches Council is undertaking the renewal of existing sports lighting infrastructure at Lionel Watts Reserve, Frenchs Forest as part of a commitment to provide fit for purpose recreational facilities that meet the needs of the community and sporting groups and that comply with Australian Standards.

In brief, the project outcome is to provide a new floodlighting installation for fields 1,2,3,4 and netball courts.

The sportsground comprises 4 full size football fields used for rugby league and football, synthetic cricket pitch, 6 cricket nets, 6 grassed and hard surface netball courts. Field 1 is used for rugby league while field 2 accommodates both rugby league and soccer, fields 3 and 4 is used for soccer and AFL.

Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors to carry out the following outline scope of works:
* Full lighting installation for Fields 1 to 4 and netball courts, complete with lighting design, floodlighting towers, luminaires, switchboard, fittings and underground cabling.
* Supply authority approvals
* Aiming and commissioning
* Connection to Playstate remote control system
* Decommissioning and removal of existing lighting infrastructure including poles
* As built drawings
* Lighting, engineering and electrical certifications
* Maintenance and operating manual

The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements in this document. To have tenders considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Tender document is provided.

The works are scheduled to be completed by March 2017.
