The City of Greater Geelong (Council) invites expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced landfill cell construction contractors (Respondents) to carry out the construction of Drysdale Landfill Cell 5, located at Becks Road in Drysdale.

Council is seeking to shortlist contractors who have experience in the construction of BPEM compliant landfill cells within the past 4 years that required auditing by an EPA Vic accredited environmental auditor and were in excess of $1.5 million in value.

The EOI process will be followed by a selective tender. Only those Respondents who have been shortlisted through the EOI process will be invited to tender.

Mandatory Assessment Criteria: The respondent must have recent BPEM compliant landfill cell construction experience within the past four (4) years in excess of $1.5 million in value involving an Environmental Auditor Construction Phase process.

General Assessment Criteria: Past performance over last 4 years in landfill construction.

* Capability and experience with landfill cell construction projects with the requirements of the Landfill BPEM and the Landfill Licensing Guidelines, in particular Construction Phase Environmental Auditing
* Proposed staff and subcontractors
* Proposed plant and equipment
* OH&S, Quality and Environmental Management systems
* Risk management
* Economic Contribution to the Geelong Region

An EOI not inclusive of evidence of the Respondent's conformance with the Mandatory Assessment Criteria will be considered, pursuant to clauses 1.1 and 3.1 of the EOI Conditions, a Non-Conforming Expression of Interest.
