Supplier Register for Provision of Quantity Surveyor Consulting Services for Small Value Projects

⁠⁠⁠Requirements

Swinburne is calling for Tenders to create a Pre-Qualified Supplier Register for the provision of Quantity Surveyor Consulting Services.

Swinburne requires suitably qualified and experienced firms to tender to provide services on projects with estimated total construction cost of up to $20 million excluding GST.

Note: Swinburne excludes from its total construction cost estimates items such as property acquisition, consultants' fees, furniture and equipment, authority charges, temporary accommodation, administration and agency commissioning costs.

It is envisaged that Swinburne will pre-qualify at least three (3) Suppliers however this will be dependent upon the number and quality of the responses received. The Pre-Qualified Supplier Register arrangements will streamline the procurement process that the Facilities Services Group (FSG) is required to undertake. Depending on the estimated value of fees associated with proposed capital works, FSG may require either a single quotation from a Pre-Qualified Supplier or the Pre-Qualified Supplier may be required to competitively quote for projects against other Registered Suppliers.

As Swinburne intends to pre-qualify suppliers, Tenderers must clearly demonstrate their suitability and experience against the evaluation criteria herein. It is important that only Tenderers with relevant experience, well established businesses and the capability to undertake the services at very short notice respond to this RFT. At a minimum, Tenderers without experience, capability and ability to undertake the work at short notice will not be shortlisted, nor will those that fail to meet the mandatory criteria or perform poorly on the scored criteria.

Contractors must be able to provide Services if required to any of the campuses nominated below:
* Croydon - 12 - 50 Norton Road
* Lilydale - Melba Avenue
* Prahran - 144 High Street
* Hawthorn - John Street
* Wantirna - 369 Stud Road
* Other Victorian campuses as determined by Swinburne from time to time.

Pre-Qualified Suppliers shall only be engaged to carry out services as required, therefore the volume of work is uncertain and Swinburne makes no guarantee of work being made available to successful Pre-Qualified Suppliers.
