Tender Description
(a)The Department requires an independent test laboratory with the following:
(i) Accreditation by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) or by a body with a mutual recognition agreement with NATA for:
(A) ISO17025
(B) AS1731
or
(i) A laboratory with accreditation to ISO17025 by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) or by a body with a mutual recognition agreement with NATA and the willingness and ability to obtain accreditation by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) or by a body with a mutual recognition agreement with NATA for AS1731.
and
(i) Willingness to obtain accreditation to ISO 23953; EN 16825; EN16902; EN 16901; and EN 16838 should they be called up in GEMS regulation under possible future regulatory changes.
and
(i) Laboratory facilities and equipment required to conduct testing on commercial refrigeration cabinets in accordance with AS1731;
(ii) Suitably experienced personnel;
(iii) The ability to report on testing outcomes in the format required by the laboratory’s accrediting body and in templates provided by the Department (example at Attachment 10).
(b) The Department anticipates testing up to twenty commercial refrigerated cabinets per year pending tendered prices.
(c) The Department’s requirements are set out in more detail in Schedule 1.
