Tillegra Riparian Improvement Project - Project Support
Tender ID: 281777
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Principals drinking water catchments cover an area of almost 2000km2. The various land uses within catchments influence the quality of water that runs from them. Historically a major challenge for the Principal has been identifying the most polluting land uses within the catchments and addressing these in a priority order so that appropriate water quality in the dams can be maintained. The Principal has identified pollution risks within the drinking water catchments using geospatial and scientific modelling developed with assistance from the Sydney Catchment Authority and then applied weightings based on their value for money and practicality of implementation.
The Principal has identified a number of major catchment initiatives. Included in these is the Tillegra Riparian Improvement Project (TRIP). TRIP aims to stabilise and protect riverbanks on former Principal freehold land at Tillegra. This will be achieved through a combination of weed clearing, planting of native revegetation and fencing to control livestock access to riverbanks.
Works on site are planned to commence in early 2017 with most works completed by late 2017. Ongoing follow up works (such as weed management) are however likely to be required for a number of years.
Works are to be delivered through a number of construction contracts including:
* Weed Removal
* Fencing (including survey)
* Seedling Propagation
* Planting and Maintenance
The Principals Representative will manage these contracts, however specialist support will be required to support the Principals Representative in these works.
