Provision of Delivered Meal Services

⁠⁠⁠The Pyrenees Shire Council invites tender for the provision of delivered meals service. The Pyrenees Shire Council requires a Contractor/s to provide food services (Meals on Wheels) for the Delivered Meals Service. Council is seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified and experienced organisation/s or applicants for the provision of the services detailed in this Specification.

The purpose of the Delivered Meals Service is to provide a nutritionally balanced meal to frail aged people and people with a disability living in the community as per assessed need, who are experiencing difficulties, temporary or otherwise, with the preparation of their meals, whilst monitoring their health and wellbeing and providing social contact.

Council wishes to adopt the most efficient and effective means of providing meals at a minimum cost to Council which, in consultation with the community, will enhance the quality of life for Pyrenees Shire residents and maximizes the benefits to users, the community and funding bodies. In order to achieve this, Council reserves the right to enter into multiple, concurrent contracts with different suppliers.

Tenderers are advised that Council is not bound to accept any or the lowest tender. Tendered submitted via email, fax or after the advertised closing time will not be considered.

Tenders shall be submitted either via Councils e-tender portal or in hard copy placed in Councils tender box, located in the main foyer at 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort Victoria.
