Tender Description
The Werribee Irrigation District (WID) Modernisation Project involves the replacement of an existing ageing irrigation channel system with a new piped network. The total length of channels to be replaced is approximately 39.5km.
Southern Rural Water (SRW) is seeking lump sum proposals to complete feature survey for detailed design purposes.
The piping of the district will be undertaken in separate stage over the next 5 years. Funding has been secured to enable completion of Stages 1 to 3 of the project. Funding for Stages 4 and 5 is currently being negotiated. The survey for Stages 4 and 5 will be treated as provisional as part of this survey assignment.
The proposed pipelines will be generally located within the existing channel reserves. Survey is required along existing channels reserves and will include the pickup of other features adjacent to the channel such as outlets, drains, road crossings, vehicle crossovers, services and trees.
Stages 1 to 3 comprise approximately 24km of survey; and Stages 4 and 5 comprise approximately 15.5km of survey.
