Smart Service Queensland (SSQ) is seeking Submissions for an Early Market Engagement - Cards and Concessions Replacement Project DSITI79433.
To assist with the administration and management of the card and concession schemes, SSQ utilises a number of platforms and systems. The functions that these systems deliver include:
* Processing applications and making quarterly payments direct to customers to assist with electricity charges incurred using life support equipment (e.g. kidney dialysis; oxygen concentrator) and/or air conditioning required for certain medical conditions.
* Processing applications for a variety of Government card schemes, including but not limited to Seniors Card, Seniors Card+go, Seniors Business Discount Card, and the Carer Business Discount Cards. Also, recorded in the system are applications for businesses providing discounts to cardholders.
* Processing applications submitted via an electricity company on the basis of financial hardship. These payments are granted once only in a twelve month period made directly to the electricity company to be applied as credit on the customer’s account.
On an annual basis, a total of approximately 100,000 new applications, renewals and changes are processed through these systems.Currently the ICT back ends for these services are provided by three different application systems. SSQ is looking to consolidate this functionality into a single Commercial off the shelf or Software as a Service solution product.
