The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The NDIS supports people with disability to build skills and capability to participate in the community and live an ordinary life. To implement the Scheme the NDIA is committed to working in partnership with existing community based organisations with the required skills and values.
These partnerships will be established through the 'NDIS Partners in the Community' program, which incorporates two separate, but related, programs:
* Local Area Coordination Services; and
* Early Childhood Early Intervention Services.
The NDIA invites suitable organisations to apply for funding to deliver these services in the ACT, as well as areas of Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. An industry briefing webinar is scheduled for Monday 15 August 2016.
Information about the 'NDIS Partners in the Community' program will be available from Monday 1 August 2016 at www.ndis.gov.au.
Applications close on Thursday 8 September 2016 at 2pm AEST.
