Barwon Coast Committee of Management Inc. is seeking tenders from experienced Civil Construction Contractors or similar organisations that have been involved with sports field construction to undertake surface and irrigation works on the Howard Harmer Oval and sportsground at Barwon Heads VIC 3227 within the Barwon Heads Caravan Park.

Howard Harmer Oval Sportsground is situated on Bluff Road, Barwon Heads VIC 3227 within Barwon Heads Caravan Park (Melways Ref. Map 497 C5).

We invite you to supply a quote for the lump sum cost for the earthworks, ground levelling and preparation works, planting, re-instatement of the irrigation system and establishment and maintenance of the warm season grass until the total surface coverage has reached a minimum of 98% turf cover as per specification.

The oval reconstruction involves the following:
* Securing site and kill the existing grass cover with Glyphosate.
* Rotary or power harrow surface to a depth of 150mm.
* Reshape the reconstruction surface according to the design drawings.
* Amend the soil with organic matter and fertiliser then thoroughly mix into topsoil.
* Laser grade to create smooth and consolidated surface as to the design drawings.
* Re-instatement of the existing automatic irrigation system and or improve.
* Re-develop surrounds to match new oval surface.
* Install new turf grass surface with sod and or line planting sprigging of Kikuyu.
* Re-instate/relocate any infrastructure disturbed in the surrounds during the oval redevelopment.
* Maintain the sportsground surface as per specification until completion of project from grassing.
* Maintenance works will included but not be limited to; topdressing, fertilising, mowing, weed, pest and disease control and over sowing with turf type perennial ryegrass.
