Construction of Don Beattie Pumpstation Rising Main and Bridge Piers Protection Works

⁠⁠⁠SunWater is seeking Offers for a Contractor to undertake the Construction of Don Beattie Pump Station Rising Main and Bridge Piers Protection Works. The scope of works required includes, but is not limited to:

Preliminary works:
* Site establishment including mobilisation of construction team, plant, equipment and materials.
* Demobilisation and site restoration following the completion of the works.
* Supply and Maintenance of site amenities for use by the Contractor’s and SunWater’s personnel.
* Delineation of the Contractors Work Area including facilitating access for SunWater’s operations team and their agents. This shall include maintaining the Contractor’s safe access throughout the work site.
* Supply of adequate supervision and technical staff to oversee the works.
* Implementing the works in accordance with approval requirements.

Civil works:
* Provide temporary access platforms for the application of the pipeline corrosion protection.
* Apply the pipeline corrosion protection.
* Remove temporary access platforms for the application of the pipeline corrosion protection.
* Remove all loose material and debris from the foundation and dispose off site.
* Remove debris from existing culvert inlet and pipe, and dispose off site.
* Survey the foundation before commencement of the Works
* Supply and install PVC drains with concrete surround.
* Trial placement of free draining backfill and testing.
* Place free draining backfill in layers to a maximum height of 2 metres.
* Carryout soil compaction and density tests.
* Place the geotextile over the outside face of the free draining backfill.
* Place 200 mm to 600 mm rockfill on the geotextile to a maximum height of 2 metres.
* Place concrete within the voids of the placed rockfill.
* After placement of the concrete, repeat the process of placing the free draining backfill in layers to a maximum height of 2 meters, place geotextile over the free draining backfill, carryout soil compaction and density tests, place 200 mm to 600 mm rockfill and then place the concrete within the voids to the finished level.
* Supply and place 400 mm thick capping layer of 100 mm to 200 mm rockfill.
* Supply and place capping concrete within the voids of the placed rockfill.
* Reinstatement of the stormwater pipework to functional condition as per the drawings and specifications provided.
* Supply and install new sewerage holding tank and reinstate the associated pipework as per the drawings and specifications provided.
* ‘As Built’ survey the completed Works.

Special Note - Mandatory Site Visit will be conducted on Friday, 8 July 2016 commencing at 11 am. Offerors are to meet at the Don Beattie Pumpstation (location map shown in the drawing schedule 245885A & 246886A. Offerors to cover all costs for Site visit including transportation to and from the Site. Please contact the Procurement Advisor to register your attendance by COB, Tuesday, 5 July 2016.
