⁠⁠⁠Invitation to Tender 27/2016: Smart City Consultant for 5 Parramatta Square and Public Domain Development.

The $2 billion Parramatta Square development is one of the biggest urban renewal projects in Australia and is central to the vision of City of Parramatta Council to build Australia's next great city.

City of Parramatta Council recently developed a Smart City Masterplan for the city and a Technology Masterplan for the Parramatta Square precinct.

The Smart City vision for Parramatta is that:
* Parramatta will be Smart City that leverages the foundations of good urban planning, transparent governance, open data and enabling technologies that will underpin our position as a vibrant, people-centric, connected and economically prosperous city.
* Smart City can be defined as many things however, to really make a point it needs to have a technology bent
* Every design component needs to be considered with key questions does this demonstrate Parramatta as a smart city?

The technology vision for the Parramatta Square is that:
* Parramatta Square will be a world-class Smart Precinct and an inspiring centrepiece that embodies Parramatta's Smart City vision.

The design of 5 Parramatta Square and Public Domain development, therefore, needs to embrace these visions. Many of these capabilities will be technology based and will need to be incorporated into the design. The design of 5 Parramatta Square and Public Domain must adopt industry best practice Smart Building Design approaches and support a well-integrated design outcome that is emblematic of Parramatta's Smart City Vision that will service the needs and expectations of its occupants, visitors and the people of Parramatta.

Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Smart City Consultants to provide advice regarding the use of technology considered across Parramatta Square development, in particular 5 Parramatta Square and Public Domain developments.

The Tender price is made up of fixed sums and a schedule of rates.

A decision will be made on this Tender by late August 2016.
