Tender Description
Council is seeking EOIs from suitably qualified building contractors for the construction of the Torquay North Children's Centre (TNCC).
Council intends to construct the TNCC as a new building located at Merrijig Drive, Torquay (Site) for the purpose of providing a modern and functional family services hub for the community.
The new centre will include:
* Kindergarten;
* Maternal and child health consultations;
* Playgroups;
* Parent groups and education;
* Allied health services;
* Early childhood intervention services;
* Occasional child care; and
* Flexible spaces for broader community use.
Upon completion of the EOI Process a shortlist of Registrants will be established who will be invited to tender for the proposed project.
A requirement of the funding agreement is that construction works are to be completed no later than November 2017.
Council is open to a range of construction options as long as the overall design of the building or the compliance with regulations is not compromised. Council's current intention is to engage a contractor under a modified form of Standards Australia's General Conditions of Contract AS4000-1997.
