Tender Description
The Victorian Government is committed to the protection and management of 15,000 ha of native grasslands West of Werribee. The Department of Environment, Land, Planning and Water (DELWP) is currently acquiring this land which is covered by a Public Acquisition Overlay. The management of these properties once acquired by DELWP, is assigned to Parks Victoria to undertake ongoing management.
The major management activity for initial reserve establishment is large scale weed control on all acquired properties which now total 1,200ha. Parks Victoria is seeking weed control services from suitable contractors with experience in weed suppression and eradication in natural temperate grasslands.
