Tender Description
Port Stephens Council requires the installation a revetment wall to replace an existing, failing structure at Sunset Beach, Soldiers Point. The existing structure is approximately 110 metres in length and averages approximately 1 metre in height. Available funds may dictate an alteration to the breadth of the scope of works.
The works are located adjacent to the Port Stephens Great Lakes Marine Park. Any potential adverse impacts arising from the proposed works must be addressed, and mitigation processes outlined, in a submitted Construction Environmental Management Plan.
The revetment wall will be constructed using proven engineering methods consisting of a geo-synthetic cloth lined secondary rock armour, overlain by a larger primary rock armour layer.
Port Stephens Council will provide typical section plans outlining the structure required.
