Car Share Scheme University of Wollongong 2017-2020

⁠⁠⁠As part of the Development Application (DA) process for two new student accommodation residences at the University of Wollongong, a commitment has been made to establish a trial car share scheme consisting of three car share vehicles: one vehicle for Northfields, and two vehicles for Kooloobong. The Northfields vehicle would be required for January 2017, and the Kooloobong vehicles for January 2018.

The University is seeking proposals for the implementation and operation of the three cars for three years at the Wollongong Campus. The University is seeking only one provider at this time. There are no current car share schemes operating in Wollongong.

The contract is expected to be awarded in September 2016, to be in effect from January 2017, until January 2020, with performance based options to extend at the University's discretion. The vehicle located at Northfields would be in place for three years, and the other two vehicles for the remaining two years of the contract (refer to table below).
