The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is a statutory corporation established under the Primary Industries Research and Development Act 1989. It is subject to accountability and reporting obligations set out in the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. It is responsible for planning, investing in and overseeing research and development, and delivering improvements in production, sustainability and profitability across the Australian grains industry.
GRDC invites tenders for the role of Southern NSW Grower Solutions Group to provide the Southern NSW Grower Solutions Group Projects.
Grower solutions groups are established throughout the Northern Region to deliver projects designed to provide GRDC with a mechanism to:
* Gather locally specific issues and assess and prioritise locally specific issues for research
* Fast track delivery of research outcomes
* Conduct local validation of regional research
* Package the results of the localised R&D within the region
* Drive practice change
Grower solutions groups provide the link between regional research and localised validation resulting in fast-tracked outcomes and answers to research questions to help growers and agronomists make decisions on farm and result in practice changes that will increase farm production and profitability.
