Eurobodalla Shire Council is considering options for the redevelopment of a strategically significant precinct at the entrance to Batemans Bay. Council is seeking Preliminary Expressions of Interest from experienced developers and interested parties who could partner with Council to prepare a masterplan and redevelop the precinct. Council is also seeking and will consider feedback from its community about the future use of the precinct.
The precinct includes the former Batemans Bay Bowling Club, Batemans Bay Aquatic Centre and the Mackay Park sporting fields.
Future uses may include but not be limited to development of a new aquatic centre; an arts, cultural, cinema building; conference and event space; tourist accommodation; restaurant and cafe developments; seniors living and the integration of the existing sporting fields into the future development of the precinct.
