The Shire of Augusta Margaret River in collaboration with Curtin University and Transition Margaret River are preparing a feasibility study with the aim of developing a large scale community wind/solar farm. The initiative is linked to the Local Energy Action Plan which seeks to develop alternative clean energy systems.
The Shire is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members with knowledge and a keen interest in alternative energy production to join the Community Wind/Solar Farm Working Group. The key role of the group will be to assist Curtin University in developing a feasibility study on alternative energy which can then be used to develop an on ground system.
