Tender Description
The Principal requires all necessary services to fulfil the objectives, purposes and intents of the Brief and other requirements under the proposed engagement for the design, documentation and other inputs as required for the closure works to the approximately 27 hectare former BHP Kooragang Island Waste Emplacement Facility (KIWEF) Area 2 on Kooragang Island (Newcastle NSW).
The work scope is anticipated to include, but is not necessarily limited to, a range of engineering and other disciplines, including expertise in geotechnical, geochemical, civil and hydraulic engineering, experience and capability in remediation projects, associated contract documentation and cost estimating, and other inputs. The resulting design, documentation and other services are to be fit for the intended purposes of tendering and constructing the necessary works, all to meet the Principal’s time, cost, quality and other objectives.
This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the purposes of enabling the Principal to call tenders, appoint a contractor(s), enable the contractor(s) to satisfactorily complete the required works, and enable the required sign-off(s) by the relevant regulatory authority(ies) and HDC’s Auditor for the satisfactory completion of the closure works and other works to meet the Principal’s time, cost, quality and other objectives.
