Tender Description
Invitation to Tender No. 9/2016 Inspection/Certification/Maintenance of Fire Protection Equipment.
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and highly experienced companies to carry out Inspection / Certification / Maintenance of Council's Fire Protection (FP) Equipment in their locations throughout the Local Government Area. Such work will be carried out in accordance with strict Standards, regulations and processes defined by Council. The work required is as follows:
Inspection of FP Equipment and Issuance of Annual Fire Safety Statements for all Council Sites.
Scheduled Service of installed FP Equipment to the frequency defined by AS 1851 (2012), including but not limited to:
* Fire Pumps
* Fire Water storage tanks
* Fire Hydrants
* Fire Detection Equipment
* Gas Suppression Systems
* Fire Sprinklers
* Fire Hoses
* Fire Extinguishers/Blankets
* Fire Panels
(Note that Service of Exit Lighting and Fire Doors will be carried out by existing Council Service Providers)
Reactive maintenance work on the above FP Equipment, as required Maintenance of the Asset Register for all Council's installed FP Equipment to ensure currency and accuracy.
Compulsory Pre-Tender briefings will be held at Council's Rydalmere Operations Centre (316, Victoria Rd., Rydalmere) at the following times:
1. 11 am Tuesday 3rd May 2016.
2. 11 am Tuesday 10th May 2016.
