The Department of Primary Industries - Lands is seeking to construct a new fishing platform and associated access ramp at Back Creek, South West Rocks, NSW, 2431.
The proposed fishing platform will replace a dilapidated mooring jetty which was recently demolished by the department.
It is also proposed to construct a new access ramp to the fishing platform from the Kempsey Shire Council owned footbridge which crosses Back Creek. The previous footbridge was in a state of disrepair and demolished with the mooring jetty.
The work required to be carried out under the Contract shall include the provision of supervision, labour, plant and equipment to construct a new fishing platform and access ramp as detailed in drawings. All work shall be carried out by appropriately licensed personnel in such a manner as to ensure the protection of the environment and safe public use of Back Creek and must comply with the criteria and all controls as nominated in this specification and detailed in the Review of Environmental Factors.
A mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held at the site at 2pm on Thursday 28 April 2016.
