Berrigan Drive Improvement Works and Construction of Pilatus Street, Jandakot WA.

The City of Cockburn (the Principal) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Road Construction Contractor for the construction of road improvement works at Berrigan Drive; from the Kwinana Freeway to Jandakot Road (an approximate distance of 0.7km) and Dean Road; transformation of roundabout to traffic signals (an approximate distance of 0.4km) and the construction of a new road, Pilatus Street from the Berrigan Drive/Jandakot Road/Dean Road intersection to Jandakot Airport (an approximate distance of 1.7km), Jandakot WA.

The scope of works includes; but are not limited to:
1. Dilapidation Survey (For all surrounding structures)
2. Liaison (With relevant bodies in identification and relocation of services)
3. Public Consultation (Continual consultation may be necessary)
4. Complex Traffic Management (One lane each way to be kept open at all times and Night Works are necessary).
5. Vegetation (Removal, stockpiling and shredding of)
6. Rubbish, fences, debris and other deleterious material (Disposal of).
7. Trees (Replanting of)
8. Top Soil and Shredded Vegetation (Stripping, stockpiling and redistribution of)
9. Fill (Excavating, placing and compaction of; to level within the road reserve.)
10. Intersection (Construction of (Electrical Works by Others); the supply and installation of Temporary Traffic Signals and the provision of Traffic Management prior to Traffic Signals becoming fully operational.)
11. Existing Road (Removal of (approximately 200m of Northern Berrigan Drive) for conversion to Park land.)
12. Car Parking Bays and Lighting (Modification to bays and relocation of car park lighting poles with light at the intersection of Jandakot Road and Berrigan Drive (North).
13. Roads, Footpaths, Crash Barriers and Bollards (Setting out and construction of)
14. Street Signs (Supply and erection of)
15. Road Pavement and Thickening of Asphalt (Setting out and stabilisation-full reconstruction of)
16. Retaining Walls (Design, setting out and construction of)
17. Stormwater Drains, Pits and Basins (Setting out and construction of)
18. Stormwater Drainage Outlet Sump (Construction of (Provisional Sum)
19. Side Entry Gully Lids (Customised)
20. Cross overs to Private Property (Construction of (Provisional Sum)
21. Underpass Modifications
22. Uniform Fences and Fences to Private Property (Setting out and construction of)
23. Underground Utility Services (Setting out, relocation and construction of)
24. Street Lighting Works (Coordination and Pegging of; for Western Power and Atco Gas)
25. Boundary Pegs (Provision to Western Power, Atco Gas and Telstra)
26. Rip Rap (Construction of to culverts)
27. Temporary Cover (Provision of so that existing services or water-sewerage pipes have sufficient depth to withstand loadings from construction plant)
28. Water Bore Pump and Switch Gear (Relocation of and re-connection of reticulation system to Water Bore in accordance with the Principal's Parks Department's requirements)
29. Wall Monument (Relocation of)
30. Site Reinstatement (Fully reinstate the site and leave the works in a neat and tidy condition.)
31. As Constructed drawings-plans for Roads, Drainage, Earthworks and Retaining Walls (Provision of to the Principal and submission to the Local Authority.)

The Contractor will be required to provide all labour, plant, tools and equipment, materials, fees and charges, chemicals, transport-cartage etc. and anything else necessary for the completion of the proposed Contract.
