North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation Limited (NQBP) is seeking Proposals for Q16-020.
NQBP have commenced work on a long-term strategic assessment for ongoing management of marine sediments at the Port of Hay Point, known as the Port of Hay Point - Sustainable Sediment Management (SSM) Assessment forNavigational Maintenance (‘The SSM Project’). To build on this work and assist in evaluating and contextualising sediment management options, NQBP would like to understand what feasible options, if any, exist at the Port of HayPoint to manage sedimentation in key Port infrastructure areas (departure path, apron areaand berth pockets) and avoid or minimise the future need for maintenance dredging. An assessment of both engineered and technological solutions to address this issue isrequested.
