The Torquay North Children's Centre Project will deliver an integrated early childhood education and care facility that is fit for purpose, meets funding and regulatory requirements and provides a range of family and children's services for our growing community.

The overall budget for the Project, including design, construction fit-out and operational planning is $6.775m.

The key features of the new facility will include:

A building that is sympathetic to the design and construction principles of other buildings and infrastructure with in the Community and Civic Precinct
Is a flexible community facility.
Environmentally sustainable design and construction and rated as part of the Green Star Design and As Built program
Licenced rooms for kindergarten and occasional care programs
Multipurpose space for playgroups, parenting programs and other community uses
Consulting rooms for maternal and child health and visiting health/social services
Outdoor play spaces that are accessible for all abilities
Car parking and landscaping

This tender relates to accessing a head consultant will be responsible for the provision of all design services required to complete the design for the Project. Those services will include, but are not limited to the following consultancy services:
Architectural;
Civil engineering;
Structural engineering;
Mechanical engineering;
Electrical engineering;
Hydraulic engineering;
Acoustics engineering;
ESD;
Building surveying
Traffic Engineering

While it is expected that the architectural services will be provided by the head consultant directly, it is expected that the remaining parts of the services will be provided by sub consultants engaged by the head consultant.

A pre-tender briefing is being provided to provide the opportunity to discuss this project in more detail. Attendance at this session will provide additional information on the desired structure and vision for the project.

This briefing is not mandatory and any questions will be provided via the online portal for all tenderers to view.
