Tender Description
A proposed tender is to be offered by the Shire of Wiluna for the upgrading of the Aerodrome Lighting facilities and associated infrastructure at Wiluna Aerodrome. Wiluna Aerodrome is located 960 kilometres north - east of Perth and 4 kilometres south of the township of Wiluna. Wiluna Aerodrome comprises one sealed Code 3 runway - Rwy 15/33, and one unsealed Code 2 runway - Rwy 03/21.
Runway 15/33 is an instrument, non precision approach Code 3 runway, and is published at 1811m long and 30 metres wide, inside a published 150 metre wide runway strip (RWS). Rwy 15/33 includes Low Intensity Runway Lighting (LIRL) for emergency night operations with manual activation by prior arrangement. Runway 03/21 is unlit, and does not form part of the scope of works for the proposed lighting upgrades for Wiluna Aerodrome.
