Tender Description

The Queensland Museum (QM) located at the Cultural Precinct, South Bank seeks to engage a suitably experienced and qualified supplier for the supply, delivery, installation, integration and commissioning (including project management) of an audio visual (AV) and multimedia solution in accordance with the Specifications. The solution will form a significant element of QMs new permanent Wild State exhibition. The requirements also incorporate twelve (12) months of equipment support and maintenance Services.

The Customer anticipates executing a Contract with the successful Supplier around Friday, 13 May 2016, with a view for the deliverables on-site to commence Monday, 4 July 2016 with the commissioning (including any final adjustments) completed by no later the critical timeline of Friday, 29 July 2016. The outcome will deliver a significant contribution for the preparedness of the exhibition’s unveiling to the public in September 2016.

The Queensland Museum is one of the State’s flagship cultural institutions and houses public exhibitions and cultural assets. With a high volume of patronage (more than one (1) million visitors annually, with future growth anticipated) it is an institution of world class standard.

Mandatory Requirements: The mandatory requirements of this Invitation Process are located in section 1.6.1 of the Invitation to Offer (ITO) document. The most pressing is the Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB). Only those suppliers who meet the mandatory requirement of full MIB attendance will be eligible to submit an offer.

Mandatory Industry Briefing: To ensure all offers are submitted in accordance with the tender requirements, Suppliers are invited to the MIB as detailed in section 1.5 of the ITO document.

This will be the only opportunity to meet this mandatory requirement and there will be no further briefing and/or site inspection opportunities provided (due to tight delivery timeframes).

Important - MIB registration details: Suppliers are required to review the tender documents prior to registering for the MIB, to ensure they have the required capacity and capability to meet the tender requirements. Any interested Suppliers are then requested to register their attendance and provide the registration details as indicated in section 1.5.1 of the ITO document.

The Corporate Administration Agency (CAA) is managing this tender process on behalf of QM. We request that interested Suppliers register their details promptly as indicated above for the reasons indicated therein. Upon receipt of the registration, CAA will forward a confirmation email to the Supplier.

Important - Customer contact details: Refer section 1.16 of the ITO document.

All initial enquiries up to and including 18 February 2016 should only be directed to Belinda Bloomfield, Senior Procurement Consultant, and from 19 February 2016 onwards to Natalie Toms, Principal Procurement Consultant - both at the shared email indicated in section 1.16.

Any queries made directly to QM, will not be responded to and will be redirected to CAA.
