Provision of Audit Services

⁠⁠⁠Respondents are invited from suitably qualified accounting firms, organisations or individuals for the provision of external audit services. As a direct result of the size of this organisation, Council deals with a wide range of matters that are administered under various statutes and legislation.

Katherine Town Council requires financial auditing services generally, but not limited to, the provisions of the Local Government Act (NT) and associated regulations and guidelines especially the Local Government Accounting Regulations.

In addition to this, auditing services should also follow the requirements of various government funding bodies such as guidelines provided by the Australian and Territory Governments and Australian Accounting Standards.

The placement of the general audit program as stipulated within the specifications supplied and shall include the following works.
