Railway Infrastructure Technical Advisory Panel

⁠⁠⁠The proposal for the Technical Advisory Panel must be required to demonstrate experience in delivering all of the following key railway assets:
* Signalling;
* Track;
* Train Control Systems;
* LV and HV Power;
* Overhead Line;
* Structures & Facilities;
* Operations; and
* Railway Systems.

In particular required activities will include analysis of the Public Transport Authority’s infrastructure assets, while providing technical advice with regards to inspection regimes, defect prioritisation, methods of work, processes and standards that are applied.

Focusing on the management of risk and optimisation of asset management, the experts will be expected to provide independent advice highlighting significant risks and areas for improvement and where practice is equal to world’s best practice.

Supplier’s must provide a detailed understanding of operational management of key railway assets including decision making authority for inspection, maintenance and other relevant regimes for asset management. This experience should be demonstrated through understanding of international best practice involving standards development and practical working experience.

Typical deliverables will be in the form of a short report typically no more than 2 pages followed by a debrief with the General Manager Network and Infrastructure.
