Tender Description
The City of Greater Geelong invites companies to submit tenders for Asphalt Works, products and services as detailed in the attached specification.
The Contract will operate for an initial term, commencing 1st July 2016 until 30 June 2018, with the option of a further 2 x 1 year term/s at the sole discretion of the Principal, ie potentially a 4 year contract term.
Council reserves the right to select a panel of suppliers and provides no guarantee of volume of work during the contracted period. (It is Council's preference to appoint a panel of suppliers for this service).
Council advises the historical $ value of this service per annum has been in the vicinity of $5 & $6 million. This is subject to Council budget approval each year.
It should also be noted this service will operate on a 'rise and fall' basis referencing section 199 of the Vic Roads Standard Provision for Adjustment of Contract Sum for the term of the contracted period with minor amendments (refer clause 22.2).
