Irrigation Mainline Replacement - Ozone Reserve

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the supply and installation of an irrigation mainline and associated works at Ozone Reserve, bounded by Adelaide Terrace, Riverside Drive and Plain Street, East Perth.

The existing mainline from the Ozone Water Treatment Plant has continually failed due to faulty/inferior infrastructure since its construction in 2002 resulting in significant maintenance and repair costs. The pipeline is a pressurised mainline with a static pressure of 700kPa and is a significant City of Perth asset as it services irrigations systems across the Central Business District, East Perth and the future Elizabeth Quay. A redesign of the distribution network currently serviced by the 500mm HDPE pipeline has been undertaken by a consultancy to ensure that the City is able to maintain its current and future service levels to the community. The irrigation water supply for the proposed system will be groundwater taken from the Ozone Lake and pumped from the existing pump station directly into the irrigation system mainline. The City of Perth invites suitable companies to provide a schedule of rates on the estimated quantity of materials as set out in the tender schedule.
