Rehabilitation of Various Pavements Including Resealing of Rural & Urban Streets

DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Tenders are invited for the rehabilitation of various pavements localities throughout the Municipality, including the resealing of rural roads and urban streets as stipulated within the specifications supplied and shall include the following works.

6.02 SCOPE OF WORKS
* Schedules 1 * 4
* Schedule 1: Preliminaries * across all project works
* Schedule 2: Pavement Rehabilitation * Florina Road
* Schedule 3: Resealing of Urban Intersections
* Schedule 4: Resealing of Rural Roads and Urban Streets
* Environmental and Traffic Management are imperative across all project works; refer further to 6.04. Responsibilities and 7. Technical Clauses.

* Preliminary pavement inspections geotechnical analysis has been undertaken for the site along Florina Road (Schedule 2) and is provided to the contractor as a reference point for the necessary rehabilitation and sealing works (refer Attachments) * relevant testing as per 6.03. Specifications for Bitumen Binder Including PMB Rubber shall also be required.

* Resealing of Urban Intersections shall be to a Class 320 bitumen binder, S10E rubber or equivalent, two coat seal of 14mm and 7mm aggregate, whereas resealing of Rural Roads and Urban Streets utilising Class 320 bitumen binder, S10E rubber or equivalent, shall be with a 10mm aggregate; all works must include pavement preparation, pot hole patching, pavement correction rolling, sweeping, site clean-up, traffic control and all other associated works required with resealing, including the site specific works and specifications as indicated.

* The contractor shall ensure that there are no voids between the laid aggregate on all urban and rural road surfaces and the pre coated aggregate is on a uniform colour in each section.
