Expression of Interest - Innovation Precinct, Carlton

⁠⁠⁠The University of Melbourne is calling for Expressions of Interest to identify a private sector partner for the redevelopment of the former Royal Women's Hospital site.

Its vision for the site is to create a vibrant inner city innovation precinct (Carlton Connect) to support excellence and impact in research, teaching, engagement and sustainability.

Adjacent to the main campus of the University, the precinct is set on 8.358m2 of prime real estate in the heart of Carlton. Melbourne and has the potential to deliver approximately 73.000m2 GFA of mixed use development under the exhibited Development Plan, and will include learning, teaching and research functions, commercial office spaces, gallery and public engagement space, accelerator space, student accommodation and retail.

Expressions of interest are sought from highly experienced and qualified developers (consortia preferred) with a strong track record in similar projects and significant balance sheet strength.
