Tender Description
The Council of the City of Sydney ("Council") invites tenders for the carrying out of the supply and processing of serials (magazines and annuals) in accordance with this request for tender. Tenderers must submit tenders in the manner required by this request for tender.
The services outlined in this tender are categorised into three (3) parts as follows:-
Part A - Supply and delivery of serials (magazines and annuals)
Part B - Shelf ready processing of serials (barcoding, stickers and contact binding)
Part C - Accessioning of serials in the Library Management System (recording items received in the Library Management System)
The City's preference is to award the tender in whole (Parts A, B and C combined) however, respondents may opt to submit a response in whole or part. Council reserves the right to appoint one (1) or more suppliers to satisfy all or part of the requirements of this tender. Council reserves the right to award this tender in whole, part or none
The City of Sydney has been providing library services to residents, workers and visitors for more than 100 years. The City currently procures the supply only of serials (magazines and annuals). The City currently manages in-house shelf ready processing (Part B) and accessioning (Part C) of procured serials.
This Request for Tender seeks services for the supply of serials (magazines and annuals) and services to accommodate for shelf ready processing and accessioning of these items.
The period of the contract is for three (3) years with an option to extend for an additional two (2) years option. The option to exercise any extension shall be determined by the City, at the City's discretion.
