Contract Works Supervisor
Tender ID: 242603
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Shire of Mount Magnet suffered major road damage following significant flooding in February-Mar 2015 and has been successful in gaining approx $6.4M federal government assistance funding for the reinstatement of road damage.
The Shire has called tenders for the hire of roading crews to undertake the reinstatement works and expects to award contracts in October 2015.
The scope of works for the contractor is to reinstate the roads per the terms of the contract. The scope of road works required will be determined by the Shire and its engineering consultants, per the terms of the funding agreement.
The Shire is seeking to appoint a contract Works Supervisor to supervise the works on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Shire. The position will ideally suit a grader operator (or former grader operator) with a proven track record of successfully managing local government road repair works.
Experience at managing NNDRA-funded repairs (and knowledge of the documentary requirements applying thereto) will be well regarded.
As this is a contract position, the contractor will need to provide his or her own camp and ground transport. However, all road-working materials, plant and operators will be arranged by the Shire (at the Shire's expense).
It is anticipated that contracts will be awarded around 23rd October, and that works will commence about 2nd November.
