Bowen Boat Harbour and Entrance Channel Dredging 2015

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Government is seeking tenders from suitably qualified dredging companies to undertake capaital and maintenance dredging works at Bowen Boat Harbour and Entrance Channel.

The project includes:

* Maintenance dredging of five shoaled areas within the boat harbour (Bundle 1).
* Capital dredging works to straighten, widen and deepen the entrance channel (Bundle 2).
* Disposal of spoil within the nominated land based disposal area.
* ASS Verification testing and treatment if required.

The expected total maximum volume is 48,000 m3, comprising 38,000m3 of capital dredging and 10,000m3 of maintenance dredging.  The dredge spoil is to be transported to a dedicated land disposal area located on the northern side of the entrance channel.  There is approximately 35,000m2 of land available for spoil disposal.
