Tender Description
In the coming weeks Airservices Australia is planning to release a Request for Tender (ASA RFT PRN_9529) for the Perth Air Traffic Service Centre (ATSC) Modernisation. Airservices will be seeking a Head Contractor for the Design and Construction of these works.
This pre-release notice is provided as advance notice for prospective Tenderers. Tenderers wishing to be notified once the RFT has been released can register their interest by email to Procurement_ARFF@airservicesaustralia.com.
Airservices has commenced an extensive program of construction work across its locations to prepare for a new Civil-Military Air Traffic System (CMATS) being introduced through the OneSKY program.
OneSKY is a joint initiative between Airservices and Department of Defence to introduce a single, harmonised air traffic management system. The new system will modernise air traffic management in Australia and enable new level of operational efficiency, safety and reliability.
The Perth ATSC building is situated within the Airservices compound at the Perth Airport and contains operational rooms for air traffic controllers, as well as office accommodation and supporting facilities.
To support the successful deployment of CMATS, Airservices proposes to modernise the current ATSC facilities in Perth. The refurbishment will extend the life of the ATSC building for a further 20 years and upgrade the existing supporting infrastructure to enable delivery of CMATS.
The project will include:
* Provision of new plant rooms complete with required power and cooling infrastructure;
* Upgrade and reconfiguration of the existing ATSC building and infrastructure; and
* Upgrades to the existing site security systems.
To meet the current OneSKY deployment schedule for Perth the plant rooms, power and cooling infrastructure upgrades are required to be completed by mid August 2016. The remaining CMATS facilities such as the operations room and training facilities need to be completed by March 2017.
