The City of Newcastle is looking for a suitably qualified construction contractor to manage and deliver the works required to complete the conservation and restoration of the City Hall Southern Facade, Eastern Facade, Southern Porte Cochere, Southern Driveway Ramps and Main Entrance Steps off King Street.
Tenders are invited and will be received up to 2pm 29 September 2015 for:
The works substantially involve:
* Sandstone replacement and repair,
* Removal of asbestos containing materials (in mortar joints and putty),
* Concrete and render repairs,
* Replacement of waterproofing and lead (flashings),
* Restoration of metal windows and timber doors,
* Restoration of the decorative external lights
* Replacement and upgrade of electrical and Lighting systems to the exterior of the building

A non-mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held at 10.30am on Tuesday 1 September 2015. Attendees are to assemble at the main entrance to City Hall, King Street Newcastle. Attendance is at the tenderer's expense.
