DFAT is seeking a managing contractor – single company or consortium – to establish and manage an ambitious, innovative governance initiative in Papua New Guinea: the Papua New Guinea Governance Facility (PGF).
The PGF will be responsible for the design and implementation of most of Australia’s future governance portfolio under the strategic direction and oversight of the Australian and PNG Governments. It will have the flexibility and means to respond to new and immediate requirements, evolving circumstances, and will also invest in longer-term development programs. By bringing governance activities under one umbrella facility, DFAT wants to achieve greater coherence between – and consolidation of – individual activities, effective gender mainstreaming, smarter administrative, contracting and management processes, and improved knowledge sharing and actions on lessons learned across the portfolio.
