Technical Training Support Services to Navy: RFI
The Commonwealth requires Technical Training and Support Services (TTSS) for RAN technical personnel.
The scope of contracted services required includes:
a. Training Management Services;
b. Training Delivery and Assessment Services; and
c. Training Support Services.
The TTSS Contract provides a wide range of training and support for Electronic Technicians (ET) and Marine Technicians (MT) with qualifications ranging from Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate II through to Advanced Diploma. The training continuum commences with Initial Technical Training for junior sailors that have just graduated from the Royal Australian Navy Recruit School, and provides a career pathway for sailors to progress through the ranks up to Chief Petty Officer. In addition to this career training, the TTSS Contract also delivers some miscellaneous Navy specific training in various technical disciplines
Training Management Services include:
a. Management and infrastructure to support all aspects of contract operation;
b. Monitoring of Contractor’s responsibilities regarding all aspects of the contract; and
c. Provision of and adherence to Management, Risk and Quality plans.
Training Delivery and Assessment services include:
a. Pre Course Development (PCD) Training;
b. Initial Technical Training (ITT) to AQF Certificate II/III level;
c. Applied Skills and Technology Courses (ASTC) Training to Certificate IV level;
d. Senior Technicians Course to Certificate V level;
e. Marine Engineering Operator Simulation Training;
f. Asset Management and Planning Systems (AMPS) Training;
g. Mine Hunter Coastal (MHC) Equipment Maintenance Courses;
h. Control and Monitoring Instrumentation (C&MI) Pre requisite Course;
i. Specific designated modules within the Chief Petty Officer Advanced Technical Training (CPO ATT) Course, and the Engineering Officer Application Course (EOAC);
j. Specialist Trade Courses to AQF Certificate III Level;
k. Trade Supervisor Courses to AQF Certificate IV Level;
l. Trade and Maritime Courses to AQF Diploma Level; and
m. Trade and Maritime Courses to AQF Advanced Diploma Level.
Training Support Services include:
a. Trainee module/course monitoring, management and recording;
b. Trainee data and records administration;
c. Competency management, tracking and reporting;
d. Mine Hunter Coastal Simulator Support;
e. Marine Engineering Operation Simulator management;
f. Apprenticeship Support and Guidance in Sydney, Perth, Darwin and Cairns;
g. Training Material Maintenance and Development; and
h. Engineering Faculty Simulator Management and Support.
