Consultant Services Corio Landfill Rehabilitation Stage 2

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing 2.00 pm on Wednesday 29 July 2015, from suitably experienced consultants to provide Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (Level 1 inspection services) and Third Party CQA Consultant Services for independent full-time monitoring and reporting for the construction of a landfill rehabilitation (capping).

Overview
The City of Greater Geelong Council requests proposals from suitably experienced consultants for:
a) a Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (GITA) to undertake Level 1 inspection, supervision and testing for the construction of a landfill rehabilitation (capping) generally in accordance with the provisions of AS 3798-2007 'Guidelines on Earthworks for Commercial and Residential Developments'; and
b) a Third Party Construction Quality Assurance Consultant (Third Party CQA Consultant) to undertake independent full-time monitoring and reporting for the construction of a landfill rehabilitation (capping) generally in accordance with the provisions of EPA Publication 788.1 Best Practice Environmental Management 'Siting, Design, Operation and Rehabilitation of Landfills'.
One (1) only consultant services company shall be appointed to perform the GITA and Third Party CQA Consultant services.
The services shall commence on a date to be confirmed. The Contract shall operate on a schedule of rates basis. The work is to be performed at Corio Landfill, 1500-1580 Biddlecombe Avenue, Corio VIC 3214
This tender includes mandatory assessment requirements that the successful tenderer will be required to meet as outlined in Section 7. Tenderers who do not meet the mandatory criteria will not be considered further for this project.
The tenderer must provide sufficiently thorough information to demonstrate in its tender that it satisfies the Mandatory Assessment Criteria. The information requested is to be provided as per the Tender Schedules.

All costs of providing off-site and on-site assistance to the GITA or Third Party CQA Consultant officer shall be borne by the Consultant.
Council reserves the right to instruct any GITA or Third Party CQA Consultant officer(s) not meeting the mandatory requirements to be removed from the site, with a suitable replacement being provided by the Consultant within a timeframe that does not impact on the Principal Contractor's critical path program/schedule.
