Henty Swimming Pool is requiring a major upgrade in order to meet user expectations and provide a safe, low maintenance facility that complies with Department of Health and Royal Life Saving Australia water safety guidelines.
The existing 25-metre pool and balance tank require full upgrade to modern standards including wet deck and new reticulation. The 25-metre pool will have a new accessible ramp integrated with the works on the western side of the pool.
The existing toddlers' pool has leakage problems and is to be replaced with a new Hydro-play area.
The upgraded toddlers' pool is to provide shallow water and interactive water toys on a new concourse area. A new plant room will be sited in an existing building housing the filtration equipment and associated pumps.
Total concourse replacement is required including appropriate drainage.
Adjacent the 25-metre pool on the western side a new concrete tiered seating structure with full shade device will be installed.
The current pool buildings and amenities will be demolished and a new building will be constructed being stage 2 of the project.
